Exclamation Bar of tabs ?

Can someone explain what this is and what it does? More specifically how it works. Does one side receive power and the other is ground? Does it just connect the wires? Can’t find any information about it because I don’t know the name lol. Thanks folks

It is a terminal strip. It is simply for connecting wires together. Each pair of spade terminals connects a pair of wires to each other. It is insulated from the chassis ground.

Yes.

One side of the tabs connects to the immediate opposite side of the tab(s).
Should really only be used for 12 VDC circuits, such as lighting and what-not.

The ground is/should be the chassis/frame, so that should really only have +12 VDC going through any one of those terminals, which should be attached using a thick rubber insulator.

Although now that I think about it, it could simply be a grounding distro block, but I haven't seen anything like that in years.

Look closely and you can see that the spade terminals are over-molded with a non conductive layer of plastic. It ain't grounded.

Path is only through the terminals on one side to their mate on the other side.
