Battery bank size

Hey guys just ordered some solar panels. I got 6 160watt panels for a total of 960 watts. I don't know much about solar so anything will help. What I'm trying to figure out is what size batteries I should buy and how many for a system of this size. Thanks guys if you need Any other info to help with an answer let me know.

Welcome Kdebo,

Typical solar sizing would involve calculating your power needs and then designing a system to support it.

If you want to start with a set solar array size and then build around that then I would look at: https://www.renogy.com/calculators/ and plug numbers in for load until you find a good match and go from there.

Kind of a backwards approach. Perhaps someone smarter than I am will chime in with a better idea???
