Battery Compartment Door Hinge

Hey everyone-

Does anyone know where I can find a door hinge for my battery compartment? I thought about 'Jerry-Rigging' a few of my old cupboard door hinges, but would like the bus to look nice not just thrown together. Do y'all think a longish piano style hinge would work or should it be more weather rated.
Thanks tons.
Therese

You can find light duty piano hinge at the big box. You can get heavy duty at the steel supply house

You might be OK with the light duty one. Have someone with a spot welder attach it to the door

For stuff like that check out Austin hardware

https://www.austinhardware.com/all-products/hinges.html

Or unity bus parts

https://www.unityparts.com

I think Austin is a better bet for those but two really useful stores regardless.

I got a stainless steel piano hinge at Fastenal. They had to order it but I got the right one. You need to spec the various dimensions to get the right one. I agree, use stainless outside.
