Question Cannot find any info on my Blue Bird Bus!!

Hey guys! I would like some history, and wiring diagrams especially. Of my bus.. Where do you find them?? My bus is a 1972 Blue Bird, has a Rear Engine and Air Brakes and was formerly a school bus way back when.. The previous owner told me it used to have a GMC 478ci V6.. Which is a pretty weird configuration... Now the previous owner swapped in a Chevy 366ci Gas V8... It still has a massive 4 speed trans.. Assuming Allison, and a single rear axle.. I went to Blue Birds website but my body code did not turn up any results! Any ideas??

I have a 1990ford bluebird and haven't been able to get anything from bluebird about. I'm planning on contacting Ford. Perhaps GMC/Chevy could give you info?

Yout transmission should have a tag on the side of it letting you know what it is. I would expect that your bus is too old for them to keep info online!

Being a 1972, you likely won't find any manuals for it. Your best bet is to look on ebay and hope one pops up. Other then that, maybe call around to a few dealers and hope they have a set on the shelf. They likely won't give them to you but if you're having issues with a certain item you might be allowed to photocopy a few pages.

As far as corporate goes, I doubt that they would have anything that old.

Yeah that's to bad I don't exactly have any wiring problems yet... But it is hacked in some spots, and frankly kinda nasty in general.. I also was just curious about the history... Any of you guys seen a 478 GMC Bus?
