Charging Troubles

Ah, how many amps does your battery charger put out. My Battery Minder is 8 amps, max. Not much, and would take a long time to charge. You've got to figure how much you're taking out, as opposed to how much you're putting in--over time.

Don't know if this affects you, but some chargers won't really work when run from cheap generators.

Remember that in converting your 120 volt AC watts to 12 volt DC amps you divide your power (watts) by 12 (more like 12.5 to 14 volts). 96 watts equals 8 amps at 12 volts. So that 96 watt load will be more (with the power losses) than your 8 amp charger puts out. 8 amps x14 volts(charger output) =112 watts x 0.7(off the cuff efficency factor) =78 watts available to your AC loads.
