Question Dome lights not turning on in my TC2000 Bluebird

Before removing the ceiling panels in my school bus, the original interior dome lights worked just fine, but now they don't turn on. After a few quick Google searches my best guess is that I need to replace the fuse, but I'm not fully convinced. I'm curious to know what ya'll think.

After removing their plastic caps and allowing them to just dangle in place they do not currently work at all. I'm wondering if there is something about the original system that I don't understand. I only ask because I recently found out that the speakers I detached from the ceiling only work when they are all connected. I'm new to all of this, but I know that most speaker systems require a stable connection throughout or it simply won't work. I don't believe lights are this way, but I don't know anything.

Should I jump straight to concluding that I must've blown the fuse for them and focus on replacing that or are there some easy troubleshooting steps I can take to ensure this is actually my problem?

I've attached an image if you'd like to see its current condition.

If there is only one wire to the lamps then the housing needs to be grounded.

Mine used the screws to the sheet metal as the ground wire.

Thank you all! that has to be it. I'll give it a go in the morning and check that they're still working.

You're going to find that a lot in Bluebirds. All the perimeter marker lights are the same way.
