Emergency back door

Hello, I am converting a 1996 international with a dt466. While removing the back right side pannel a couple wires were cut for the emergency exit door. Obviously now the engine won’t start at first there was this soft beeping noise after tracing the wires and re attaching them the engine still won’t start and there is absolutely no noise now. Looking for some advice.

I had a box like that. The metal box needed to be touching the metal bus frame to work. So if the box was ever on the floor or anything it wouldn't work.
