Final power plans going from 10kw to 8Kw.

Just wanted to put this out there incase anyone had additional ideas. We are not using propane because we feel solar is a constant. We only lose 1.4kw by doing this.We dont want to pay way more for propane appliances and then have a constant bill to pay for it. Only thing l forgot to add was the jacuzzi pump. We are planning a higher solar panel set up to give a faster recovery. We also have a 10kw generator for a backup system if needed.

Yes l know there will be a few who will say this idea is stupid. But it's what we want for our comfort levels. This will be our full time home. We will be doing this in a full 40 ft flat nose Thomas as it is a wider bus.

Yeahhh... we have looked at copper water troughs and my plan is to install with about 30 mini airlines under a cedar platform and on the sides. Then it will be supported and spray foamed in to maintain the heat. Surrounded by a nice cedar benching enclosure. I am also looking at putting in a water heater reclaiming pump.

When it is being used as just a shower it will have a copper piping shower head with small holes to reduce water useage. That's if l dont find a commercial head that l like.

Some thoughts...

You have both a washing machine and a clothes washer on there. Duplicate?

Your microwave will be about 500 watts higher than what it is rated at (a "700 watt" microwave draws 1200 watts). On the flip side, your fridge may be rated for 500+ watts, but it is rarely consuming that much. Get the estimated annual cost from the sticker, then break it down to daily watts.

Overall, your numbers look like overkill. I have a poorly insulated 200 year old, 2400 square foot farm house with 4 tons of A/C (two separate 30 year old 2 ton units), two full size fridges, and a hot tub that's kept at 104 degrees, 4 TVs, and 6 family members who don't have a clue how to turn anything off. We average 70kwh/day, only slightly more than what you're budgeting. Overkill normally isn't a bad thing, but in the case of batteries and solar, it's expensive.

Consider setting up your controller for that expected max, but grow into the full system by adding batteries and panels as needed. Also consider smaller dedicated inverters to cover the full-time appliances and larger ones for the occasional heavy lifting so that you're not suffering larger inverter losses all the time.

Yes you were right. Thank you. I forgot to take the portable washer out. The other one is a high capacity. As for the wattage l was told and read that the rating on the back was a hourly useage amount to run a full hour so it is pro-rated. The numbers are actually in watts not Kw. I am not a household electrician, some of this stuff is confusing as l am only a diesel mechanic.
