Gaming Setup

Been Thinking About Doing A Gaming Setup But Not Sure How To Go About It. I’m Thinking The Smart Way Would Be To Give The Game Setup It’s Own Battery To Operate Off Of. Is That A Bad Idea Or...?

its own battery and a pure sine wave inverter to run the computers for it.. I regularly run a server rack in my Bus. with a GoPower 1500 Pure sine wave inverter.. im using 2 group 31 AGM batteries. and charge the whole mess with the bus running when im driving.. it all works well.. even the switchover when the isolator kicks in when I start the bus doesnt affect the machines.

Doesn’t Sound Bad At All. Might Have To Consider That. Is Your Setup Close To Your Regular Wiring And Stuff?

my bus is a 7 row.. I located the batteries back in the back and ran 2/0 welding wire from the isolator up front to the batteries.. and 2/0 welding wire from the Aux batteries to the inverter in (12 volt).. I have a 10 gauge 12 ft ext cord from the inverter out up to the area where I locate the small 8u rack with net servers and phone system test gear.. (the bus becomes a mobile DEV lab for me when I do that)...

im charging my batteries with my alternator which some say dont do.. however they are group 31 AGM Deep cycle marine style grade batteries that are meant to be charged by an alternator.. my inverter is set to shutdown at 10.5 volts sustained for more than 2 minutes I think it is.. which means im not discharging them a huge amount.. the isolator kicks in once the bus is running and charging.. I **CAN** manually engage it and connect all 4 of my batteries together.. but I generally dont want to acidentilly leave it on and kill my starter batteries so ive never left it on except to test at home where I could use a battery charger if needed ...
