Grounding Inquiry

I Have A Renogy 3000 Watt Inverter And I’m Having An “Issue” Figuring Out What Gauge Wire To Use To Ground It. Initially I Wanted To Use Between 2/0 Or 4 Gauge Wire But They’re Too Thick To Fit In The Grounding Area Of The Inverter. How Should I Proceed?

Thanks

Have you checked the manual, that would be the best place to start. Follow their recommendations on how to properly ground the inverter. If you are talking about grounding the inverter to the school bus chassis/body, the manual recommends 10 AWG stranded copper wire.

grounding the 110v side or battery connection side

The grounding to the case on my sine inverter an the equipment ground for outlets was 12ga or 10ga if my memory is good.... Now the battery cable side of things went direct to batteries from inverster and was as big as my thumb.

Is yours a Charger also? If so it will require more power and larger guage. I think to fully power a 3000 watt inverter charger at full pass through power and charging is 50 amp service. The 4000 watt inverter charger I had was 60 amp service. I’d go with 8 or 6 guage.
