Inverter/Charger Shore Connection

I have a 1000W Renogy Inverter/Charger. What have others done for the charger connection? I guess the simplest is to just wire an extension cord and chuck it out the window if I need to charge. I’m looking for something a little more “formal”.

Thanks for your help!

I'm at the same stage in planning my electrical. This is the unit I think I'm going with. The only thing I will be running off it will be the fridge.

https://www.amazon.com/inversor-pode...s%2C215&sr=8-3

The AC input to this will be a circuit from the main electrical box that is supplied from my ATS coming from either shore power or my genset.

This is our shore power connection, it's mounted to the outside of the bus. It's wired to the inverter/charger on the inside of the bus. They're readily available on Amazon and cost around 20 bucks.

Thank you!

Do you have a breaker between that and the inverter?

Ive been so focused on DC I totally ignored the AC side

No breaker, the inverter/charger doesn't call for it. Basically it's the same as having an extension cord directly to the inverter, only you don't need to pass the cord out the window, the connection goes through the side of the bus.
