new instrument panel for the 91 Bluebird Handybus

Hello all bus builders. Back to work and building the new dash. Have about a dozen instruments and plan to do separate swich panels. Looking at 1/4 birch plywood and Home Depot mahogany for structure and trim. Think old cabin cruiser on a Nutra slim diet. Going to go for the Americana look as best as can be with Glowshift guages. Anybody have handy hints for painting it, finishing it or wrapping it in foil like my freind suggested?

Hope to go farther than filler and spray paint

I have a Pusher and I want to do my dash over also. Is there any problems running wires 40'?
