New project hidden compartment

I'm working on a new project. A hidden compartment with a hidden lock. Here's the controller.

Click on the picture it will take you to the video.

Here's the controller.

I have no problem with showing this. First you would have to find the compartment, then find where the controller is hidden in a wall somewhere. Anyway thought you might enjoy.

Pretty cool. We plan on putting one in our Skoolie as well.

Do you have a problem with telling us what you're hiding?

It occurred to me that some might not know what they are seeing. The module uses hall effect sensors and will be hidden in a wall. It will control a simple automotive type door lock actuator. The LED is extra, it will be hidden in the wall as well, I just wanted to play with one of the rgb LEDs i just received.
You use a magnet to activate the switch. So even if you find the compartment you have to know where and on which wall to hold the magnet.
I've seen it done to deploy the ramp on handicapped vans. The sensor was inside one of the tail lights. Not really very secure since there was a circle where you held the magnet and they were all alike and, to my knowledge, no way to disable it.
Does anyone know of a way to inexpensively make a space kinda fireproof? None of the searches I've done have come up with anything.

Hiding spots are a great idea. I’m not figuring out where there can be hollow hiding spots in this big metal box. The end caps and dashboard come to mind as logical hiding spots.

If you’re going for a floor hatch under the carpet, you’ve stolen my idea.

Or you could climb up through your hatch.

You guys are always taking the easy road with your roof decks. I'm putting in a root celler.

Well, I'm not vertically challenged at 6'1", but still need to get up there.

LOL! I'm saving the root cellar for water tanks and propane tanks!

Yup like that, but manually operated. Wonder why that guy didn't cover the back of the stairs with plywood? Looks cold!
