Agreed... although we use the analogy of a 'mental ward'.
And we are fine in the role of our Activities Director.
And we get along fine without canasta tournaments and shuffle-board marathons.
And folks "Just stopping-by to say 'Hi!'" during our naps.

I will turn 70 in a few weeks.
Nearly two decades full-time live-aboard in this rig, over a half-century camping and what-not, we boondock exclusively.
Six 305-Watt panels for a total of 1,830-Watts into our trusty AGM bank.
.
As a kid, we had camp-trailers for vacations, and we usually hop-skipped park-to-park.
I recall a sense of claustrophobia, of timidly hoping:
* the neighbors were sober and clean and rarely yelled
* the park management were rational
* the water was reliable.
.
These days, our electric needs are pared to a minimum.
We experimented with parking in sun to photo-charge our bank, but the rig never cooled-off over-night... the warm interior carried into the next morning.
.
We much prefer parking in shade during the warm season.
We keep cool by cooking outside and showering outside.
We get a nice over-night chill using portable fans -- Craftsman 20v -- the batteries compatible with our other Craftsman 20v tools.
.
Looking at your RequirementsStatement, I see we are at the opposite side of the scale.
2003, we built with the intention of *not* re-creating a stand-still house inside a mobile dwelling.
.
Our position is simple:
* We see no need for complicated components cobbled into complicated systems.
.
An aside:
We completed our conversion -- while selling everything -- in less than a week.
.
Toss in some car-camping gear, go have fun.
