No crank gremlin solved!

A month ago the bus developed a no crank issue, sometimes though it would crank and run fine. Other symptoms were flickering interior lights, flickering voltage reading on ohm meter, if I turned on the headlights or try to crank the starter I'd hear a solenoid clunk and lose all power on the bus. The power then would come back on after a number of minuets, hours or days. That was the gremlin.

After cleaning up all the major ground connections the problem remained. I was going to next clean the connections on the starter, the positive side has about 8 connected wires and the 3/4" brass nuts was not even hand tight... loose as a goose! Tightened it up, solved the problem!

Odd because it's an old starter and the wires and nut have not been touched in years it appears....

Today is a good one, I kicked a gremlin out of the bus.

Maybe this thread will help some one chasing a no crank issue so I decided to post the thread.
