Panels Outputting High Voltage...

These are the common flexible 100 Watt panels you find all over ebay and I'm getting 19+ volts from each panel; four wired together giving me 78ish volts. I was expecting 48-50 volts maybe but not 80.

Is this normal and before I hook it up, can my charge controller handle it?

Sounds normal. You’ll need to provide more info on your components and wiring configuration to determine if the system
Is within spec

That is the 'open' voltage with no load, i.e. you are not pulling amps out of the panels, once you do that the voltage drops.
Can your charge controller handle it? No it can't..unless it says it can.

A Victron 100/20 model would handle it fine.

But just know, any little twig leaf on just one panel, even dust will have an inordinate impact on overall output hooking them up in series like that.

Those panels are unlikely to last long, when the time comes replace with rigid framed, and over 40V 300+ watts from one panel, one per SC

Thanks for all of the replies. I understand the situation better now.
