Question regarding a solar powered trickle charger for my start batteries.

So the starter batteries in my new bus seem to be in decent shape, and that's exactly how I'd like to keep them. I have had really good luck running a Battery Tender on my bike over the past 8 or 10 years, and that's what I'd like to do with the bus. Problem is I will only have electricity available to me while I'm working on the bus, via a generator. What I'd like to do is run a solar powered charger, but I'm a little unclear on exactly how these things function. I've poked around on Amazon and eBay and although there are plenty solar chargers available, I don't really see any that just top your batteries off and simply maintain.....they just give whatever solar power that is being generated and that's that. My fear is overcharging, and ending up damaging my batteries in the process. Simple question is this....Does anyone have a solar setup that maintains without overcharging that is working for them? Maybe a product that I missed, or maybe it's something you rigged up yourself and have had good results from. Worst case scenario, I'll look into building a solar setup that will give me a 120v outlet to plug an actual Battery Tender into, Just hoping there's a simpler way.
Thanks for any info youre willing to share, Smitty
