Quick question about my headlamp light switch!

Currently have a International 1983 Wayne.
Imported to the U.K

May sound daft,
Having issues with finding out if the bus has a full beam/dip headlight switch and how to use it?

Currently when I pull on the headlamp switch toggle out, it feels like it has 2 positions, however my headlamps only appear to go on and off without it cycling through what I would expect to see (OFF/DIP BEAM/FULL BEAM)

Am I missing something?

Thanks a lot!

Shaun

Hey Shaun,

My first bus was a 1980 and it had the old style high/low beam switch in the floor by my left foot.

The switch on the dash turned the headlights on/off. To switch high/low you would step on the round button on the floor.

Perhaps yours is that way?

Just a guess.

Rated Cap: Just the two of us.
In the US light switches typically have two positions as you describe. First notch is parking and dash lights, second notch adds headlights. Turning it will probably dim the dash lights. Dip switch is probably a stomp switch on the floor near left foot.

And there should be a little indicator light, probably blue or green, somewhere around the center of the speedometer to show when the high beams are on.
