Removal of wheelchair lift and Intelligent Lift Interlock System and Fast Idle

I have someone coming tomorrow to take my wheelchair lift away. Selling for a steal but I really just want it gone. Does anyone have experience removing the Intelligent Lift Interlock System or the Advanced Fast Idle System?

My fear is I disconnect the lift and the bus won't start. I feel like this won't happen since there's a separate disconnect for the back of the bus systems (lift, door, lights, etc.). But I'd still like to remove the interlock and advance idle.

Also plan on removing the switches for the rear heat and the lift engage.

Any help? Here's some pics from my rig:

I don’t think you have anything to worry about. The wheelchair switch energized a relay which energizes the power lead to the lift.

Trace that positive cable from the lift to wherever it goes in the front. Likely this will be to a breaker near your battery. Disconnect both ends and use a the continuity function on your multimeter to confirm if you need.

There’s likely also a negative cable connected to the lift that goes to the chassis. Disconnect that.

That’s probably it. Confirm your bus still starts before proceeding any further.

A word of caution

You have a laundry list of things to disconnect. It’s best to proceed slowly, testing all the bus functions as you go. Test start, test lights and so on, after each wire disconnection.
