Renogy Inverter Charger Detect AC input bt not charging

I Purchased a Renogy 3000w Inverter charger combo. When plugged into either generator or shore power 30Amp, the inverter recognized the new AC input on display screen; however is not charging the batteries... 4 6V Sealed Lead Acid.

Are you running those batteries 12VDC or 24VDC? And does the charger/inverter support 24VDC if that's how you're wired?

I’m running 4 6v batteries in series and parallel to make a 12v system. The best way I could get the most amp hours for the price.
