Romex vs Stranded

Anybody using Stranded copper for their 120v applications?

I have used a stranded wire very similar to Romex. I can't remember what the proper designation is. We called it "boat cable"

Many RV manufacturers use Romex which is solid.

I have seen a bunch of builds with Romex and blown-in insulation. Do you think they will chafe over time from the bus movement.

Blown in OR spray foam insulation?

Thomas used Romex for the heaters. They still work 18 years later. I'll use it for the 120V circuits.

Then I would not worry about chaffing where it is encapsulated in the foam.

Chaffing generally occurs when the wire is allowed to move against a rough or sharp surface.

The foam will secure the wire in place.

Is using spray foam on long runs of wires as anchor points every interval or so a reasonable idea?

Really? Not in my Thomas they didn't. The original heater wiring in mine used what I've always referred to as boat wire. Either 12/3 or 12/4.. I can't remember. It looks like this:

Mine was solid-core.

That is almost exactly what we called boat cable. The stuff we used had black, white and green wires.
