solar and EMF exposure?

Anyone got any thoughts or data on that? I am going to be very busy today at work. Going to be a few hours before I can do any research. I know some folks are pretty sensitive to such stuff. Most of will never know because we have never not been exposed to ever increasing exposure. I personally will be delving into this. Feel like I need to for my own peace of mind.

ham radio forums best source of actual measured data, but

pretend you're worried about interference with your gear, not supposed health effects

We had a pretty good discussion about that over on QRZ.

I have not had any issues with CC or inverter causing QRM on 6m or above. I have not tried to run HF in proximity of a solar system. Apparently it can be a problem. Some of the folks shared their solution using chokes at the input and output of the CC.

Are you asking about the health effects? or emf interference with other stuff?

Health, but both. I know there is this box in the locker room at work that the noise it makes makes me super uncomfortable. I get changed and get it out. Not sure what the control panels do, but I know I have an reaction of some kind to them. It goes away the second I leave the room.

There are real health effects with emf's, and some are much more sensitive to them.

I'm one of those delicate flowers. I quickly learned not to place my body between the work and the plasma cutter machine as doing so makes me dizzy and makes my heart jump around like a frog. On the more fun side of that I can often set off car alarms in my close vicinity by jumping up and down and raising my arms up and down and I can do fun things to my multimeter.

wow, that is really interesting...... Have you ever been a lab rat to find the source of "you"? or how you seem to influence your surroundings? or how things affect you?

anyways, this would be an interesting topic for the campfire....

The curly fluorescent bulbs have a measured high enf, and can cause headaches, dizziness, etc. We have gone back to incandescent bulbs till we run out. The led do not seem to mess with me, so will change to them in time.

I have found in my machine shop proper grounding of equipment is important both for me and for computer controls . The stray voltage can be 5 volts, enough to mess with the computer . And makes me feel odd after a bit. We run three phase, three wire, no ground. So adding an external ground wire solves the stray voltage. Modern three phase is 5 wire, three for each phase a neutral and a ground. So anything electrical needs to be properly grounded to minimize emf's for your sake and for delicate electronics.
