Solar Setup Diagram (Feedback needed!)

Hi all,

This is my diagram for what I think our solar setup will be.

We will have 4 batteries wired in BOTH series and parallel and also a DC and AC system.

If you could take a look at this and let me know if I’ve made many mistakes anywhere or if there’s anything I could adjust that would be amazing!

I haven’t drawn the wires out of the inverter to the a second load centre as I was unsure if both positive and negative go out or if it was just a positive wire like the 12v load centre

The inverter has a positive, neutral and ground on the 120V ouput. All three go to the load center in the normal manner.

Ah ok great. And is it only the positive that goes to the 12v load centre?

Also - I want to wire my batteries both in series and parallel. Does my wiring look correct?

Nothing goes from the inverter to the 12V supply-side. That comes from the battery +ve

The inverter might include a battery charger. If so, hook that up according to the manual.

Anyone else able to inspect my diagram and let me know if it seems correct?

Looks like you will be running 12v appliances with the arrow from the 30amp marine fuse box to "appliances". Will you be running appliances off of the 1500 watt inverter? If so, you may need a bigger inverter.

Yes, but only 2 or 3 things separately. Such as the occasional hair dryer or 1100 watt convection oven.

Apart from that everything will be 12v
