Tail Light fuse for 2009 Chevy Collins

Hi All

I recently bought a partially converted short skoolie. It's a Chevy Express 3500 with a Collins body.

I was trying to clean the tag light assembly and shorted it. Now the tail lights don't work either. The backup lights still work. I tested the #15 fuse in the fusebox under the drivers seat and it's good.

Anyone know where the fuse might be? I am wondering if Collins for some reason wired the tail lights to a different fuse (it seems odd they would).

Thank you.

Richard

Thank you. These are the fuses above the windshield? Can you tell me how does the numbering go on it?

shoot me a text at 910-581-7210 and i will share pics of mine.
what i said earlier was straight from the chevy manual but now that you said the overhead fuse box i remembered and you are correct.
i just went and took pictures of mine for you.
when i first drove my bus home it had no turn signals and it took awhile to figure that out because mine are powered from the underhood fuse box from the ignition E fuse for whatever reason.
just text me and reference skoolie.net

Hi! I'm in a similar situation. I shorted my break light when replacing a bulb and now the break light won't turn off. I've looked at the fuses listed on the fuse box in the engine bay and under the seat. The fuses were either missing ( I think must have been wired differently for the Collins body) or looked good. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you have another fuse block with all the light wiring above the dash? or at least in my 2004.
otherwise i would say its a lazy brake pedal return spring? pull up on the pedal and see if they shutoff. could be a bad brake pedal switch as well.
the fuse box under the seat is always fun?
i have the manual for 98-2010 and only half of my wiring matches what i had when i got my bus but everything is labled every foot of the wiring if it is collins body wiring.
my 04 everything bus body wiring runs down the drivers side to the rear for all of that.
might have some pics of mine.

Thanks for such a quick response! Well, I did have a few fuse blocks above the windshield, which I thought only the child warning lights were routed to. But, now I'm thinking I could have deleted a wire to the break lights by mistake and that may be the reason they are on. I also didn't take any pictures of the fuse board before dismantling 🤦🏻*♂️ rookie mistake. If you have any pictures of yours you would be willing to share, that may be able to help me deduce the issue.

I had my mechanic check out the break switch, so I'm pretty sure it's not that and he also double checked the fuses after I did. But, didn't want to pay him a bunch of money to delve any further.
