Tail lights and associated issues. Please help!!!
I have a 2004 Bluebird / International school bus. Up until today, it was running fine. Today it won't crank.
I built a platform behind the bus for two big storage boxes. Then, I removed the lights on the back of the bus (brake, turn signal, backup light, and the little round red light -- so four lights on each side, eight total). I Extended the wires using 12 gauge copper stranded wire and butt splices -- that way, I could mount the lights on the back of the new storage boxes I made.
Today, I reconnected the lights. Now the bus won't start. It sounds like it's going to start, the engine is trying to start, but it never actually starts.
When I turn on the lights (with the engine off), the headlights come on, but all the other lights are off.
Are these items possibly related? Or is it just coincidence. And what else would you try? (Please help!!!)
Batteries show 12.05 on the multimeter
The gas tank is just less than 1/2 full
