Thomas FS65 Service Manual

Since we have gotten our bus I have been looking for our service manual for our 2005 Thomas FS65 School Bus. I went to DTNAconnect and made an account in hopes to find our service manual, maybe I can't see it on the sight since there is so much, but I can not find it to save my life. I would really LOVE to take our our interlock systems, but would like to have the wiring diagram to make life easier. Any suggestions?

I have a 2001 fs65 and my rear door lock interlock relay was up, slightly to the left of the brake pedal.

The yellow wire needed to be connected to the one of the purple ones for the vehicle to start.

The rear door indicator(open or closed) was able to just be left in an open circuit.

Good luck!

Thank you so much! that picture really helped! I did have luck after going back to DTNA customer service and having them create me a completely new account that allowed me to use their EZ wiring system that gave us all of our wiring diagrams! Thank you!

Desperately looking for this exact manual. Any chance I could get you to scan it and send it or let me know where you found it?

I reversed all my wires, starting with my lights and everything I'm taking out, then left the ignition for last. Turns out the only kill swith in my model was the back door. The windows, hatch, and wheel chair were also wired, though just with buzzers. I grounded the kill swich wire at the fuse panel and it starts.

Only issue I have now is I cut my door wires. I have an air powered front door and need to figure out how to wire it back. Looking for schematics on those wires.

I found a Freightliner FS-65 shop manual a while back, and it has been very useful. At this point, I don't remember how I found it, being a computer dinosaur. It is 1158 pages. This dinosaur also doesn't know if this link will work for you, but here it is:

file:///C:/Users/Owner/Downloads/165640-Freightliner_School_Bus_Chassis.pdf

I also found a shop manual for my engine, a Mercedes MBE 906.

I have a 2005 FS-65 Thomas.

Best of luck!

Ross, here are the steps to uploading an attachment on this website.

1. Post a reply, not a quick reply, located at the bottom left of the last thread post.
2. In the message section of the post, look for a smiley face.
3. To the right of the smiley face is a paper clip. Click the paper clip.
4. This will pop up a menu for you to upload a document. Click Choose File.
5. Double click (or select) the pdf file you want to upload.
6. IMPORTANT! Make sure you click upload file at the bottom right after selecting it.
7. Wait... it may take a second. Next, close the window by clicking the top x button after you see the attachment is uploaded.
8. Make your post!
9. Tip: Attachments can only be 2MB so if you need to split it up use https://www.pdf2go.com/split-pdf and add multiple attachments.

Freightliner Shop Manual

I tried, but it's clearly above my pay grade.

Maybe just try googling "Freightliner School Bus Chassis Workshop Manual Type C SB FS65"

I managed to get it by just stumbling around in the internet.

At least I type with TWO fingers, not just ONE.
