Turn signals/electrical

I am not much of a mechanic or electrician. I have a 1996 Ford Carpenter short school bus. The turn signals aren't working. When I move the lever nothing happens. No blinking on the dashboard or outside. I was thinking to start with a fuse but I have no idea where the fuse box is and nothing is labeled. The only manual I have is a drive line for the B series. I have two bad knees so getting down and under the dash is very limited.
