Wipers Won't Shut Off

Hello - we recently purchased a 2001 Bluebird TC2000. As I am going through and learning the dash arrangement I discover that the wipers do not work. With a little investigation I find that the wires have been removed off of the terminal in the fuse box. When I attach the wires the wipers work but will not shut off. Has anybody experienced this? What would the problem be? Thanks.

How do you know you hooked the wires up correctly? Sounds like a switch.

Most likely causes:
Switchology..... Check how your wiper switches work and ensure that they are in the OFF position. You'd be surprised.
Crossed wires AT the switches - Try all switch positions with the wipers energized and running. If it shuts off on a position other than OFF, you may have crossed wires at the switch. It's a maze of wires in most bus electrical panels and the switches/wires are no polarized.

Cross your fingers and wish that it's one of those because they're nice and easy fixes.
