Yet another blinker problem

Ok, simple, I know, but I'm stumped.

Left front blinker doesn't work. Memory failing me on if it _ever_ worked.

Swapped bulbs, no joy. ALL the other turns on that side (mid and rear) work just fine. Stalk control and flashers all work - except front left. From this I'm assuming my switches and relays are good.... unless EACH bulb/fixture has it's own relay? That'd seem excessive, but maybe?

Any ideas welcome

You left out the most important piece of your troubleshooting information...did you test the wire for voltage with a meter, not a light bulb?

It is either an open wire on the one particular circuit or a bad ground or a bad socket!

Oh and no, each bulb does not have it's own relay!

Did you check the blinker fluid?
Check the socket for power and ground with a test light.
Repair as needed.

Man, good point! I asked at the autoparts store and they said back near the headlight oil? Couldn't find it...

Did get out with a meter and confirm it's a bad socket though!

Is sourcing an OEM even possible? I could always just replace the whole assembly on both sides too...

Follow wires from signal housing to the first wire connector. Test there for power. The housing on most buses are grounded to the body by the screws that attach housing to the body

Grab your vin number and call the International stealer parts dept, ask them for a build sheet on the bus. they will do it for free.

Once you have that ask them to source the blinker bulb socket.
If they are too expensive, at least get the OEM part number and then go to Amazon or ebay!

Forgive my ignorance here, what exactly is a build sheet? What sort of detail is included??

Thanks for the help!

I have attached a build sheet for my bus.

As you can see, it is basically a detailed birth certificate for your bus. It identifies all the major components that went into the actual build of the bus.

Every school district will spec their bus slightly different than the next. the build sheet tells you exactly what is in your bus.

This build sheet is also very important when trying to spec parts for your bus. the dealer will always reference to this when you call them asking for a part.

Awesome! I'll request one from the big IC dealer in the area and see what they say.

Worst case, any suggestions for complete housing/fixture replacements? I've searched a fair bit, but most are dead links to old amazon listings...
