Ecotemp em-4.0

Has anyone used a Ecotemp em-4.0 water heater? I'm considering getting one for my bus. 4 gallon capacity, runs on 120V.
Only negative I can see is the lack of a drain plug on the bottom. May need to use air pressure to winterize.

electric, 120V...comes with a standard household plug. I'd expect to use it when plugged in at a camp ground. It would probably draw too much power to be feasible when boon docking.

Cool. Reason I asked is some folks think they’re going to to run it off their minimal battery setup. Interesting there’s no drain. I suppose they never expected it to be used in places with extreme temperatures. I suppose you could use some washing machine type of hoses and make it so you can pull it off the wall and turn it upside down to empty it when the time comes.

Now I need to ask the forum if anyone has used that food-grade RV antifreeze stuff?

The price is certainly right.

I have a Camplux 12L (about the same). It's also 120V, and runs off a small dedicated inverter. Not big amp draw.

This one has feed lines pointing straight down so I imagine it is self-draining provided you have a drain line somewhere below the unit.
