Yes the tank has a ratchet strap around it, the picture was at time of install. When I pulled the fitting off I noticed the rubber seal is warped. No thread tape. I emailed excel, waiting on a response. I emailed Amazon, they said I installed it improperly and there is no warranty.

Is the gas inlet on the heater 1/2" NPT? If so, that fitting is not the right type.
I used the included supplied fitting.

In the end I’m glad there was no other damage to my Skoolie, things could have been worse. I’m out $200. I most likely will not buy another one, it was very finicky with controlling the temperature, it was either too hot or too cold, never could find a the perfect temperature. Not sure what I’ll buy next.
