Sh!t & Blossoms: Humanure Composting - 101

We compost all sorts of biomass, including manure from several animals, then cultivate using these products.

Fellow humanure composters will find the following information useful in growing safe biocultures to use indoors or outdoors.

Published by Marcel & Floran, of Sh!t & Blossoms, "this step-by-step guide will help you learn how to catch, grow (cultivate) and make use of local microorganisms that naturally inhabit the space around you. Microorganisms help us decompose humanure faster, prevent odor, and ultimately, help us in the process of making a richer and healthier final product: Soil."

https://urineseparator.com/diy-compost-starter-guide/

..."Composting paired with humanure composting reintroduces nutrients and beneficial microorganisms into the earth, contributing to restoring (or upgrading) the current state of fertile soil mass."

----Check out thier porcelain urine separators, too.

Nice article! I had them do a custom urine diverter for my future compost throne and they did a great job. A little pricey but I would recommend.

That's a nice diverter, PattyWaggon! I look forward to seeing the finished throne.

We strongly suggest having a solid plan (liquids too) for a worksite port-a-potty. Best to be completed prior to workers arriving for duty. Our home restroom is 1/4 mile away from our Happy Place, so we built the commode long before we purchaced Freddy D.
