"Shocking" the plumbing / fresh tanks

Hey all,

Tomorrow I install our RO system for the fridge / drinking water solution. Waterdrop G2 is the system, it will be on our build page.

We're in the middle of selling our home, one of the things that came up on inspection was coliform bacteria in our well. We're having the well shocked, I figure the procedure will need to be the same for the bus because it is getting its fresh water from the well.

Now I do have an RV Water Filter system ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GBZ83HH ) with a 5 micron sediment filter and 0.5 micron carbon block filter _before_ any plumbing, so it all gets filtered on the way into the fresh tanks. Maybe I'm safe, idk.

What do you guys do to clean your fresh tanks and general plumbing out? A well shock procedure will be somewhat disruptive, hoping to avoid it in the bus if I can.

Thanks!

at work we have to chlorinate/shock and test for bacteria on any new system and any system that we have opened up during add on or renovation.
i use swimming pool shock and a pump sprayer to get it into a system and then run water at the farthest faucet until you smell it and supposed to let it set for 24 hours. before flushing it all out.
for your situation i would try to bypass the filters are at least pull the cartridges out.
good luck
