If you've decided on a composting toilet, Throne Composting Toilets is worth checking out (
thronecompostingtoilet.com). I'm not affiliated with them in any way. I just hadn't seen them mentioned here yet and I think it's a good product from a small local (ish) company based out of North Idaho.
We bought their urine diverter and it is far superior to the flimsy one I got shipped over from the UK a year or two ago. It comes with a full-sized cut pattern and detailed plans to build your own handsome commode. We didn't follow those plans, but they look pretty straightforward. If you're considering spending $1000 on a Nature's Head, look at these guys first. You're capable of turning a bus into a house... I think you can handle making a pretty bucket to poop in and save yourself $900.
