wet bath style for limited space

I searched online and here and could not find an answer, basically I have a 7.5x 9 area to work the rest is cargo. with going with one of those toyhauler trailer designs for the interior where it has a shower/toilet in the same spot to save space. I don't plan on using these alot but it would be nice to have if needed. so with that being said i was going to do one standalone cassette toilets/ shower combo but the question comes in that you can get the toilet with its own water resivor (higher chance at using the toilet vs shower) but what about the shower. is it possible to have the shower be shore water only? so i have no holding tanks? i honestly dont know how this works. my thought is shore water to instant water heater then to shower and shower drains to?

the idea is from seeing those "Overnighter Toy Hauler" trailers, thats what my build is going to be.

any input would be great. looking for ideas here floor plan is not together yet.

Toilet: You might consider a composting toilet, essentially a waterless solution. You don't really compost the waste; you toss it.

Shower: I have a nice sized shower unit in my bus with the composting toilet on heavy duty rails so it can slide in and out of the way. The shower is set up for both boondocking and shore supply. My holding tank capacity is 40 gallons, so not a lot, but designed to work for 3-4 days off grid.

I made the shower unit quite large (I think 40" wide by 28 or 30 deep), and store camp chairs etc in there when travelling to and from camping. It also has a cute little sink because hey why not...

When boondocking it's really just to rinse off, but handy because it's in heated space and offers privacy. We haven't used it connected to shore facilities because if we have a camping spot with water and sewer they tend to have real shower facilities as well, and those will always be nicer than what you can set up in a bus.

I have an instant water heater and a flex sprayer that you can stick out the window. I've not yet used it that way, but nice to have.

Would a shower pan in the toyhauler part be an issue? Drop a floor section down and cover with a panel when not in use? Or a tub of your choice with a pipe to fit in the floor drain as needed?

You might want to check out Jazz Sales Horse trailer conversion parts.

They have various shower configurations for small, or odd shaped spaces. I got my 25 x 30 shower and surround from them.

Really basic shower drain option

I live in Canada. To reduce the risk of freezing, my goal is to have all the plumbing inside the bus, and none of it under the bus. The only obstacle that came to mind was where to collect the shower waste water. That gray water tank has to be lower than the shower pan, which meant mounting it outside, under the floor.

Then it occurred to me that one showers only when the skoolie is parked. So I plan to just place a 5 gallon bucket on the ground under the floor drain when I take a shower.

I went to Skoolie U.P. last summer when the bus was not nearly done. As a stop-gap I used a 5 gallon bucket to collect waste water from the kitchen sink (which was a metal salad bowl with a hole in the bottom.) It worked surprisingly well. Of course, you have to empty a 5 gallon bucket lots more often than eg a 50 gallon gray tank. But it's way easier to dump it, including just pouring it down a public toilet. No need to ready the bus for travel to seek out a dumping station.

So I plan on using 5 gallon buckets for both the kitchen and bathroom sinks. They are stackable, so the bucket to be used for the shower can be stacked out of the way under one of the other two buckets.

It's a wet bath, with a homemade composting toilet. (Details here: https://theskoolielife.com/17.htm) To use the shower, I'll just pick up the toilet and put it in the hall.

thats an idea i havent heard before. thanks for that. i have no problem with digging down into the floor as the skirt around the goes down like 15 more inches than the floor.
