A/C Compressor Bracket 2001-03 TC2000

Anyone have have one of these buses with ac who can tell me where they located the ac compressor? It looks like there is room above the alternator for one compressor. If yours has 2 compressors a pic of how they placed them would be great.

Well I thought I would at least had one reply...
The All American should be the same as the TC concerning the compressor.
What I've found so far is an oem bracket that places the compressor at the bottom under the radiator hose, but the front engine mount is blocking the path for the belt now. Guess there is some modification coming if I win the auction.

should be a 5.9 cummins. that's definitely the most supported engine of the full-sized busses. if that's what you've got, there should be tons of aftermarket for the auxiliaries (assuming the bus engine isn't totally different than the truck version).

when I look up "5.9 cummins compressor bracket" on google, all the results put the compressor over the alternator. that's as much help as I can give.

the OP said he has a tc2000 and the bluebird all american should be the same.
but didnt say what motor he has and i dont know what are in either one of them.
i assumed 5.9 but didnt want to give advice on an assumption?
thats why i asked for pics to see the front of whatever he had to see his engine,pulley set up and available room.
if it is a 5.9 then there are several aptions but which option does his have room far.

i think if you have the room under the hood you could move it up to the top side of the motor like the trucks but they make these things in so many different configurations including radiator inlet and outlet it will be hard to tell with out a pic and i know you asked for help from someone who has one and i dont? sorry but i have done my share of custom add on stuff and was trying to help.

Pics will come should I win this auction. If not, I'll keep searching for an All American with the 5.9, pre-emissions. Thought about the TC also till I priced the carrier and gear set to re gear it. Might was well bid higher on the AA that already has the 4.44 gear set.

Any info is always helpful especially with multiple people looking at a problem from different angles. Thought about also running a second compressor driven by a Thermo King / Yanmar diesel for when I've stopped. I had forgotten how loud reefers are until I watched a TK video...may have to rethink that approach.

its good to be thinking ahead but its hard to tell how to make it actually happen until its in your hands and you can look at what you have.
