Question Bay Area appliance suggestions???

Hi everyone, we are looking to buy new or used. We want start with the main appliances first so the frame work can be built around them. Any suggestions on toilets (we do not want a blackwater tank), refrigerators, stove/oven, and all in one washer/dryer units? My wife and I's main goal is to eventually live on this bus full time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are located in Oakland, and willing to travel to pick up any appliances to save a buck.

Lucky for you, you leave real close to the best place in the world for that. Make your way up to Sacramento to RV Doctor George (RV Doctor George of Sacramento, CA - RV Parts - Service). They have EVERYTHING RV related, most of which is used. Imagine a pick-n-pull and a warehouse for anything that was every put on an RV. My friends who did a van conversion got most of their things from there. (I personally am fine buying new for everything, but that's just me personally).

You will not find a better place in the country that matches what you're looking for.

I'm curious. Do they charge sales tax on used items in California? If I bought things from this place in Sacramento would I have to pay sales tax?

I don't like sales tax. In Oregon we have no sales tax. They keep trying to bring it in, but acording the the state constitution it has to go on the ballot. So they keep putting it on the ballot, and the people keep voting it down.
