How I did a window ac but not mounted on a window
This is really just a work truck and I did not want a window ac mounted anywhere on the bus, but three or four nights a month I need to stay overnight in Phoenix Arizona where it's 105-115
So tried to come up with some thing that would slide in and out
This would work on any cabinet, I bolted mine on a craftsman Rolling toolbox
One thing about this is that it takes a very short AC which means I think this is LG 6000 BTU? Maybe 6500
It was the biggest one I could fit there
I'm not usually off the road until nine- 11 o'clock at night and I open the windows for a bit let Bus cool down then turn this on and it keeps it really cold for me to sleep at night then I'm back out of here by 9 -10am OK at the latest
bus is totally stock, no insulation etc
it is a generator rv slide, pretty heavy
It is exactly the width to fit through my bus windows
I need to build a better cage around it so it seals up to the window good, right now just using the little accordion slide that came with the window and put some foam around it
This works great for me and when it cools off in the fall can take it out here quickly
