HWAM High Efficiency Wood Stoves?

Ran across this stove in my search for an alternative to the Kimberly. The price is making my skin crawl. I know there are good DIY versions out there that I can build for a 10th of the cost.

But, less important than the cost, is the intelligence of whatever heating system we have installed. I have been looking at some of the self regulating wood burning stoves and ran across the HWAM (pronounced WHAM) brand of stoves.

They have an onboard system that regulates the airflow into the firebox that ensures a consistent burn rate just at the temp needed for gasification. Think thermostat built into the stove. They also have a plinth version that allows you to rotate the stove. I thought that was pretty darn clever. The video below is worth the watch, if for no other reason than the voice over feeling like you fell into a bed made of marshmallows.

I remember another English made fire place that was discussed, before. I think it was called Saltfire. I think there was one on Ebay at that time, and it looked pretty good to me..
