Insulation in Thomas short bus-polyester staple fiber
I called Thomas and gave them my VIN number and they told me that insulation inside my 2004 short bus was called; QW172 Hoechest Polyester Staple Fiber , (PSF for short) that was 2 inches thick in the walls and ceilings. Has anyone ever dealt with this stuff? Thomas also said the R-Value of this stuff was 6 and gave me the exact measurements of the lengths in the panels which would leaves big gaps in coverage. I’m wondering if A. It really has an R-Value of 6 and B. Can I compress other insulation on top of it and increase overall R-Value?
