Mini-Split for heating and cooling

Question for you solar powered skoolies...if you have installed a mini-split, what size do you have along with size of inverter (and battery, solar system) do you have? On a non-sunny day, do you have enough power to run ac or heat using mini-split or do you need backup generator power? I have a 12,000 BTU Pioneer Mini-split and trying to understand consumption of energy. THANKS

im not sure where you plan to camp.. but the heat function of a minisplit drops off in efficiency quickly as you get below 35f outside temp . in temps above 38 or so defrost cycles are pretty much non existent and the efficiency is much better.
