moving ac units

I want to move and replace with a larger units that I have. What would be the best way to go about this? I have my existing lines and about 40 foot of extra can I put a fitting to couple the lines together to extend them. I want to move one of the inside units to the back of the bus. I know i can have ends swegded on but I don't want to remove the whole line to get this done I just want to extend them. I will be replacing all the inside and outside components .
