Old Coleman AC units any good?

Are these of use at all? from a '84 coachman RV. Came with the bus... along with the whole, rotting, RV.
Appologies if it's all been discussed before.

If they blow cold then they have some value.

Given their age, I would not count on long life or efficiency.

Newer A/C's are more efficient and quieter.

I would say that if you are building on an extremely tight budget and they work then use them.

If your goal is to build a nice conversion that will be trouble free then I would be looking at newer units.

Appreciate it. I signed myself up for scrappage work in the deal and now I kinda regret it. But if I plug them in and run them I would see what temps at the louvers to know if they had any good in them, 40f?

I think 30deg below ambient temperature is what your looking for at the vent.
