Placement of mini-split compressor on a small bus

We have a Ford E450 accessible bus that we are in the planning stages of our build out. We bought a solar mini split system but the compressor is larger than we realized and we are struggling with where to mount it. The only two options we seem to have are above the rear door where it would sit 3 or 4 inches above the roof of the bus or under the rear of the bus behind the gas tank.
Anyone who's installed a mini-split on a short bus could you advise where you've mounted your compressor?

I had a similar issue with my short bus build. I ended up mounting the mini-split compressor above the rear door, and it’s been pretty smooth so far. I used some heavy-duty mounts to keep it secure and made sure there was enough clearance. It’s a bit of a tight fit, but it’s working well for me. Just keep an eye on any potential obstructions.
