I just use my college dorm sized "sin fridge" in the bus. It runs off my inverters just fine. In fact, we ran the fridge, stereo, lights, tv, PS2, etc for 12 hours straight off just the two golf cart batteries rated at 110 minutes reserve with a 75 amp draw. Either those batteries are severely under rated or it just plain doesn't draw that much. I wouldn't push it much further than that, but I know the bus popped off like a charm the next morning and I don't have my isolator hooked up yet. The fridge is even a terribly inefficient R12 unit that draws 1.2 amps and runs QUITE frequently. If you can get by with a small amount of fridge space for the sensitive stuff while using coolers for things like beverages that tolerate water and temperature changes better, I would recommend that.
