What are these switches for?

The switches are found on the panel just at the drivers left elbow.

I suspect that the switch labeled “pump“ is for a pump to circulate heated engine coolant to the various heater cores around as the bus.




And here is one that has me even more puzzled. “comp”? And the symbology used does nothing for me.

I have one switch labelled "NOISE KILL" which appears to have no effect other than it has to be switched to ON in order for the driver's fan (the little fan in a cage next to my head) to work. Is my wiring messed up or is that supposed to be how it works?

My bus has that “Noise Kill” switch too. At first I thought all my fans were broken and I spent a couple hours trying to trace down the cause. Eventually I figured out that they don’t work with that switch is on.

Well that makes sense, but I wonder why mine is wired up backwards.

The "pump" switch is indeed for the water circulation pump for the heaters in the cab. I had the same question as you did and it took me a VERY long time to find out what it controlled.
