BlueFire

I got a blue fire but it’s not showing my brake pressures which is the main reason I wanted it. Am I doing something wrong or is that just the way it is? I have a 5.9 24valve in a bluebird TC 1000. Update it is showing brake pressure at 77 PSI but it showing brake primary air NA and brake secondary air NA. I set it up on motor home but I’m wondering if I should be using truck mode on the app?

A lot of times on buses the air presure isn't fed to the ECM or to the communications bus/pathway where the bluefire reads data from. The gauge on your dahsboard is a sensor hard-wired into the line and tied to the buzzer/chime.

It's probably not tied in to the computer.

It's almost certainly possible to find an appropriate digital sensor, though, and tap that in to be monitored by an outside system of some sort.

I've slowly been working on figuring that out for my all-mechanical bus, since I would like a digital monitoring and logging system to be set up so I can pull and read sensor data at a later point on a Pi or PC and figure out what problems may be coming down the road.

oh well that sucks, the issue is I have one of the crappy multi guage dashboards and the air pressure is just red and green bars so all I know is the rough pressures not a number so I can't do a proper air brake test

As by others have mentioned, the air brake pressure gauge gets its reading via air lines feeding into the gauge .the ECM has no electrical connection to this gauge to retrieve data.I learned this firsthand

I had one and really wasn't a fan, either my 2001 with the 5.9 24v ECU wasn't setup for it or something. pretty much all the gauges just showed N/A. So far Ive been happy with the scan gauge system.
