I like it when they write on the screen in permanent marker. I said something to the worker one day that it would ruin the screen if you tried to remove the ink she looked at me all confused.

All of my stuff is on windows 10.

Resource hog is an understatement. I'm not sure what I would do to the person who invented cortana. It wouldn't be good though. Cortana alone took up so much memory.

I'd use a Linux system if the shop programs would operate on it. I've used ubuntu several times to rescue data off of faulty hard disk drives.

The thing about windows 10 that upsets me the most is how it was forced upon me. I opted out of the update for a while, and then the things all updated to windows 10 without a prompt a few years back. You want to talk about a useless computer, that update nearly made them that way. Granted, all the computers in the shop are from 2010, but to go from perfectly functioning to crashingly slow overnight, pissed was an understatement.

I reverted them all back to 7 for a while, but then our shop and browser software would no longer playing nice with it and I had to update back to 10. I'm thinking a hardware upgrade is inevitable, and I'm not really looking forward to spending a few grand and a couple days making the "upgrade". Windows 7 was just fine for what it was used for.

PS, I still have the disc image for win10 if anyone needs it. Since I missed the "free" window, I used the "assistive technologies" loop hole to still get 10 for free a year ago. You still had to have a registered version of 7, no idea if that's possible anymore.

Has anyone tried https://www.bluestacks.com/apps.html ? It is an emulator that allows you to run android games or apps in windows.I am working on a bus pc for navigation, cameras, entertainment and drive train monitoring. I plan on using driveline front end to bring all this together. Just wondering if anyone has experience using an android emulator to run stuff like waze or bluefire. If anyone is looking for bluefire api files that used to be available I found them on an old hard drive.
Still don't like windows 10
