Adventure begins

Purchased our first bus a couple weeks ago, already got the itch to pack up an take off. We're remodelling the inside now, trying to save money, and plan on starting our adventure summer of '17. I've been watching these forums for a few months now an it's been very informal so far. What an awesome resource this is. Glad to be a part of it.

Engine: 366 Big block Chevy! :) w/ Stick shift
When i see the 366 Big block GMC i hear a voice say "Me own brothren!"
It's a line from a Scooby Doo "The Goblin King" where Scooby gets under shaggys shirt and they pretend to be a warewolf to a warewolf bouncer who then says... "Me own brothren!"

Welcome!

Thanks, I'd guess we have fairly similar builds then, does your bus have a two speed rear end, I'm considering purchasing one for ours as it seems to be geared very low, it's a 5 speed as well.

Nope just the 5 soeed stick, and 1st gear is super low. I normally start off in 2nd. She runs 65mph on the Highway though. Can't beat that.

we've been taking off from second as well, and we've only been driving it around locally, but I don't think ours would even do 65 it tends to favor like 50, an with no tach we haven't really been pushing it.
