Adventure Starts Now

Hey guys!
I'm new to this forum, and well any forum for that matter. (Pretty new to using the internet in general) I'm excited for this journey!

I recently bought a 2005 Ford Thomas short bus. It has 5 windows and a door in the rear that was for a wheelchair lift. I'm so grateful that it's in amazing condition. It only has 100k mi and no rust!

So far,
I had it serviced. Painted it enough for it to be legal in CA. Removed the seats, wheelchair lift, floor tracks, and flooring.
I plan on removing the rear heater next. Then the walls and ceiling to insulate. Thinking of keeping the rear A/C since I can't afford another one right now. Any thoughts?

I'm taking on this project solo and have no experience. I'm learning a lot as I go, but have much more to learn.

I greatly appreciate any help or advice I can get with the build! Thanks

Welcome to the forum. I assume you're familiar with CARB requirements? If your shorty is diesel and over 14,000 GVWR, it will need a new (2010+) engine in less than a month, unless it's registered as a motorhome (it could also qualify for the low-use exemption if driven fewer than 1000 miles a year).

(if by CA you meant Canada, disregard)
